Scentsy Bars are melted, not burned, so they don't create the toxic byproducts known of when burned.  Because Scensty is wickless it doesn't have a flame that creates Smoke, Soot or other Toxins.

Scentsy products are also formulated and rigorously tested to comply with regulations from the International Fragrance Association code of practice, the European Union's REACH requirements, the California Air Resources Board, and the Federal Environmental Protection Agency.

Scentsy Bars are made with custom, high-quality food-grade paraffin wax.  Scentsy chose this wax because it has a low melting point, which means it doesn't take much heat to release its fragrance, and it remains firm when not exposed to heat.

Food grade paraffin wax refers to a highly refined type of paraffin wax that is considered safe to use on food, meaning it meets specific purity standards and is allowed by regulatory agencies for food applications, while regular paraffin wax is a broader term for the wax without the guarantee of food safety. 

Key differences:

• Purity: Food-grade paraffin wax has undergone a more rigorous purification process, removing any potentially harmful contaminants that might be present in regular paraffin wax. 
• Regulations: Food-grade paraffin wax must comply with FDA regulations for food contact materials, whereas standard paraffin wax does not. 

• Scentsy wax is food-grade so it's softer and melts more easily than some competitor's wax, which is harder and takes more heat to melt
• Some say Scentsy wax has a stronger, longer-lasting fragrance than competitors' wax.

 Scentsy Products are considered safe to use around kids and pets as they are formulated to be non-toxic and do not contain harmful chemicals, with the key feature being their flameless warmers which eliminate the risk of burns from an open flame or hot wax; however, individuals with fragrance sensitivities should still use caution and check ingredients before use.

Scentsy is an MLM business (Multi-Level Marketing), which is a business model where individuals sell products or services directly to consumers through a network of distributors instead of having the overhead of a brick-and-mortar. They earn commissions not only from their own sales but also from the sales of people they recruit, creating a tiered structure where distributors can earn income from multiple levels of recruits below them, also called a "downline". Scentsy never requires you to buy or have inventory and only encourages you to grow a team if that is what you want from your business. 

Pyramid Schemes are, however, fraudulent schemes, disguised as an MLM strategy. The difference between a pyramid scheme and a lawful MLM program is that there is no real product that is sold in a pyramid scheme. Participants attempt to make money solely by recruiting new participants into the program.
